Version 2.7.10 no longer accepting self-signed certificates

The problem seems to be due to the old version of openssl (0.9.8y 5 Feb 2013) thats still included in OS X 10.8.4. Using svn version 1.7.10 from the command line has the same problem: .. SSL handshake failed: SSL error code ... My current work around was to install subversion 1.8.3 from MacPorts. This also brought along openssl 1.0.1e 11 Feb 2013. However I really miss Cornerstone! Please fix!
